The business phone segment is mainly dominated by the presence of BlackBerry, but the company is planning to expand its operation into the other departments of the mobile phone industry as well. The most promising segment at the moment has to be the touch screen segment, which is an area that BlackBerry is not too convincing in after having had two models failed in spectacular fashion, despite the incredible brand name. The Blackberry Curve Touch, however, promises to be different as it can handle all the latest features in terms of entertainment, while also offering the value for money aspect. The Blackberry Curve Touch is a mobile phone that is going to offer a 3.25 inch touch screen display at a maximum resolution of 480 x 360 pixels. This should be more than enough for handling the various requirements for the displaying of content on the screen. Given that the capacitive technology is meant to be present in the screen, one will be able to take full advantage of the large screen that exists in the phone. This is also going to be present in addition with the optical trackpad and the touch sensitive controls. It seems that BlackBerry cannot let go of the optical trackpad feature in its phones, but once you start to use the feature you will realise the importance of it in the phone. The Blackberry Curve Touch is expected to offer external memory card support, while the internal memory details of the phone is yet to be revealed by the company. In fact, every single detail that is available of the Blackberry Curve Touch is something that has not been confirmed by the company. They are available only as a rumour, but as with the case of every other BlackBerry phone that gets launched, most of it turns out to be true. The Blackberry Curve Touch is expected to offer 512 MB of RAM, which is a spectacular specification to be having a phone that claims to be the best in terms of the entertainment aspect. It needs to be since the importance of the entertainment segment within the mobile phone industry has been gathering pace ever since the launch of the iPhone in 2007. The Blackberry Curve Touch is also expected to come with a QUALCOMM 600 MHz processor that is going to run the BlackBerry OS. The version of the operating system that it is specifically going to run, however, is very tough to actually find out given the launch of the BlackBerry OS 7 in the BlackBerry Bold 9900. This new operating system has a number of improvements over the previous versions like with any other new version. It remains to be seen if BlackBerry will be ready to offer this version of the operating system on the Blackberry Curve Touch once it is confirmed. It is something that is everybody eagerly looking forward to given the features in this new phone, which will also bring a new kind of competition for the existing entertainment phones.
