*So I told you all a little white lie. In last week’s column, I said I would give you a full review of Snow Leopard, but as I started to write that review, I thought, “this is boring.” 

      Every now and then, it seems that there’s either so much to talk about or not enough, so every once in a while, InSYnc column will feature a “Digital Gidgets” segment that will give everyone a taste of what’s going on in the wonderful world of Technology.

      With that said, Sprint is set to introduce its first Android based phone. The HTC Hero will launch sometime in October. It looks pretty neat; I read an article about it posted over at engadgetmobile.com. Just in case you’re in the dark, Android is Google’s mobile phone platform that was introduced last year and looks to be a contender against Apple and Microsoft.       There were also recent rumors that Sprint was about to be bought by T-Mobile; those rumors have now been confirmed as being false, although right after this rumor was dissolved, there were talks about a merger between Comcast and Sprint. Now, that would make sense. Since AT&T and Verizon both have cable TV, it would seem the only two left out of the circle would be Sprint.  Time will tell.

      In other news, it seems like HTC is doing big things these days. The company that introduced phones like the Mogul and the Touch Pro are taking things to the limit with its newest device, the HTC Leo. This bad boy is probably the best smart phone on the market, especially when it comes to specs. The newest iPhone has a processing speed of 600 Mhz with its processor, and its pretty snappy, but HTC has developed a newer processor, the Snapdragon, that clocks speeds up to 1Ghz. Let’s just say that its like having the current iPhone 3GS on Steroids. Check out the YouTube video posted below.
