I totally agree with you. I myself was one of those people who were bitching at first about how tmobile messed it up. but after seeing it in person I fell in love. I was going to get an iphone but im getting this instead. by the way, anyone who buys this phone should download skyfire. it gives you 'full' flash video. not just youtube but myspace, hulu you name it, you can watch it :)

I went and played with one the other day. Three impressions that surprised me even after the non-stop coverage of this phone:

1. It looks much better than it does on the web. All the folks complaining about how T-Mo screwed it up need to see one in person. I thought the same thing, but not after holding one.

2. Size is much smaller than it looks online as well. It's almost the exact dimensions of my Epix, which nobody thinks of us a chunky phone. Maybe a hair thicker, but side-by-side the difference was essentially unnoticeable. Almost identical footprint.

3. The screen seemed much more washed out and weak and this was super disappointing as that is the main feature I'm excited about. Turned out the "automatic" brightness adjustment kept things pretty dim. I went to manual and cranked it up a bit and it was AWESOME! There's an iphone and an Epix in the house now, and it was better than both.

Can't wait for ATT to get it! Much snappier than I expected with that processor.

Not everyone love capacitive screens. They're totally unusable for those of us who want to use our fingernails for pointing!
