As we’ve mentioned, the Optimus Black’s defining feature is its 4-inch Nova screen. It’s the brightest mobile display on the market, outputting a staggering 700 nits (the iPhone 4 only manages 500), and producing the purest whites yet on a mobile device.

All this points to one thing – you should be putting pretty apps on it. When it comes to apps, there aren’t many that show off the quality of a screen as well as Google Earth. Not only do you have the impressive, zoomable satellite imagery of our planet, you can also view thousands of beautifully composed Panoramio photos by selecting them from the Layers menu. It’ll make that screen sing.
