Q: i have data cable but I can not see I can download to use the cable to download ringtones to my nextel i580. no one knows how.

A: You dont need the software to get the tones on the phone simply connect the phone to the PC using the USB cable and the phone will be detected as a mass storage device and will be listed as a "Removeable Disk" in my computer after that just browse the phone and copy the tones to the MUSIC folder.

If the folder isn't there than create one!

Q: Can I use the nextel i580 phone with my cingular service?
I want the ruggedness of the nextel i580 phone but I have cingular service. Where I live cingular is the best wireless service; so I want to keep cingular. I was wondering if my cingular sim card would just go into the i580 and I could use the phone?

A: Without going into detail why, the simple answer would be NO. Cingular and Nextel work on different technolgys, Cingular is GSM, Nextel is IDEN. Any phone you purchase would have to be a GSM phone which Nextel is not. The GSM phone would need to be at least GSM850/1900 Mhz. if the phone is not Cingular branded, it would have to be unlocked
