How's Samsung Galaxy S2 Battery Consumption? It's GRRRREAT!?!

Just like how the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is making waves at Google I/O and dubbed the "iPad 2 of Honeycomb tablets", its sibling the Samsung Galaxy S2 with its stellar hardware is expected to make the same waves.

However with all high-end Android smartphones, there is one shortcoming that entry-level devices usually don't take notice of, battery life. The Samsung Galaxy S2 packs a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Not exactly the ingredients for optimum battery life.

While we normally don't like taking cheap shots at manufacturer's "tasty marketing" terms used to describe their products, this one was hard to pass off. In an ad to promote the Samsung Galaxy S2, the marketing team over at Sammy decided to use the word "great" without thinking about what else it could imply.

A: Rechargable batteries will lose their ability to hold a charge over time. If you have had the battery for a while, it might be time to replace it. If the battery is new or not that old, then the battery might be defective.
