How do I put ringtones on a Samsung Rant (Sprint)?

I do not have internet enabled on my phone – websites like Myxertones do not vocation. I cannot wirelessly change figures to my phone, so my only choice is connecting my phone exactly to my computer and transferring files that way. I’m infallible many of you are cognizant that you can engender ringtones on iTunes. I’ve created a few ringtones that I hankering to carry to my phone. However, they do not calling when on my phone. I’m guessing they are the err information genus. Am I comme il faut?If so, I will change how complete sample.

In addition, when the check (not working) on my phone type is that "m4r" after the name. I am assuming this is the case with more species, but must change.

Upgrade Your Phone to Windows Mobile 6.5

One prominent handset vendor told us Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrades aren't cut-and-dry because the carriers are afraid unforeseen issues involving running the new OS will break their fragile networks. Upgrading a phone's OS could create behaviors that weren't there the first time the carrier approved the device. Essentially, the carriers are treating each Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade as an entirely new phone that needs to be approved all over again. (Anyone with an unlocked GSM device that works with any SIM card knows this is a dubious claim.)

A Verizon spokesperson pointed out that not every device running Windows Mobile could be updated anyway; that capability needs to be built into the device from the beginning. (Translation: forget about updating that .)

Still, there's lots of good news here. If your phone does end up with an OS upgrade, the procedure should be simple. Most updates should be in the form of plugging in a USB cable, downloading an upgrade file or installer, uploading the new OS to the phone, and then rebooting the phone. If you've got an older handset running Windows Mobile 6.1—or just bought one that still has the old version of the OS—here's what you need to know.

The on Verizon. Both are nice phones that could really benefit from a 6.5 update.

HTC
All recent HTC touchscreen smartphones running Windows Mobile have HTC's proprietary UI, TouchFLO on top. Unlike with the Samsung Jack and Omnia 2, there's a good chance an OS upgrade won't make a lot of visible difference, besides access to Windows Marketplace for Mobile and Microsoft's My Phone service. (Turn TouchFLO off and it will look very different, though.)

The HTC Touch Pro2 and upcoming owners on Verizon are in luck. Not only is the Ozone an excellent smartphone for just $49, but Verizon customers will get an Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade either from Verizon's or HTC's Web site sometime in early November. Stay tuned for details.

Q: I have a Samsung Sprint phone with a speaker feature. If I hold down the speakerphone button located on outside of the phone, I can make calls without flipping open the phone. The problem is that when I carry the phone in my pocket, the button gets pushed and it keeps making calls on its own. Besides having to apologize to people, I am getting irritated. Does anyone know if there is a setup option that allows me to disable this button? If not, I am ready to open the phone up and physically disabling it myself.
Samsung A580. The locking feature does work but when I put it in my pocket and walk around, it gets pressed long enough and starts making calls.

A: Please post the phone model so that people can better answer your question. Usually the problem with things like this, is that the phone is not locking and so the keys are still active when they are not supposed to be. That is all that I can offer until you post the exact model of the phone.
