Q: I am looking to switch from the LG Vx 8600 to the SCH A990. I was wondering if the Samsung has these features:
VCast Song ID (the one that is free to download and use)
What is the max memory card capacity it can hold?
Does it have USB 2.0 included to connect to computer to upload/download pictures and music and such?

A: The a990 is a great phone but im sorry to say it doesnt have vcast song id. since it was the flagship phone of 2006 and song id came out in 2007 its not intergrated into the phone. but it you can use a usb cord or a micro sd card to download music and pics. it can hold up to 2gb in micro sd card capacity. its a great phone i highly reccomend it, its one of the only phones i know that swivels 180 degrees and it has a whopping 3.2 megapixel camera, bluetooth, mp3, and even a tv outlet. you can even record a contionous for more than an hour. also it has a pretty cool voice regontion system. hope that helps!

How do I transfer pictures from my Verizon Wireless VCAST phone, a Samsung sch-a990, to my computer?August 07, 2007 at 10:14 PM by aenman123 | Posted in Cell Phones & Plans

Q: Previously I have used a microSD to SD converter to get pictures off the removable card in the phone, but there are two problems. That adapter is lost, and i have pictures on the phone's internal memory. By the way I have the Music Essentials Kit which includes software and a cable to transfer music to and from the phone and computer.
I have around 600 photos to transfer, so texting/emailing them is out. Also, in my knowledge, they don't make any other adapter for the phone i have to hook to the computer.
