We at Telewaving are pleased the launch of a new version of Symbian S60, which supports touch screen equipped mobile phones, like the recently announced Nokia 5800. We immediately started to port our mobile blogging Wavelog client to the latest version of the operating system. Here is a screenshot of Wavelog version 2 on the device emulator from Nokia S60 5th SDK. We hope that Wavelog version 2 touch phones will be available before the Nokia 5800, arrived in stores.

Google’s T-Mobile G1 Overview

I think you already heard about T-Mobile G1. Yes… it is the first smartphone that get its popularity because it operates under Google’s Operation System calles Android OS despite of it running on slightly boring phone model.

As you can guess this consumer-oriented smartphone completely oriented on Google’s online services. The GMail is one of them. Built-in GPS receiver allows to use Google Maps more accurately. It is really may be called “Googlephone”

Smartphone has a touchscreen but depends on integrated QWERTY keyboard. With respect to connectivity, the G1 has Wi-Fi and access to T-Mobile’s extensive hotspot network.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in Russia

I am really interested take in my hands, the first Nokia touchscreen phone, but in the mean time, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will start sale in Russia first. The phone will be available from 5 December 2009 and its price is about $550.

The AT&T Tilt is one of the first of all smartphones that is featured by Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 OS. Integrating the range of wireless options, the AT&T Tilt has provided with 3G and GPS capabilities, and email service to keep on you always connected.

The AT&T Tilt’s topping characteristic is its tilt display, from which it get its name. The 2.8-inch, 240 x 320 screen cants at an 40-degree angle. (Guess a mini laptop computer.) You will be able to fix the phone upon your table and run down comfortably by your emails. But although the QWERTY keyboard has a comfortable size, it is not quite a big enough to typewrite on similar usual keyboard. The handset as well has 3 megapixel camera and supports native AT&T Music and Video.

Many of reviews do not fail to acknowledgment the AT&T Tilt’s bulky size. At closely an inch thick, it will not harmonise your trousers pocket. But the phone atches up with its size by compacting in characteristics like a stylus, a scroller and a microSD expansion slot, in addition to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, email functions and many other things.
